New Honda Jazz specifications and pricing revealed

Honda UK has announced the pricing for their updated popular subcompact hatchback.

On-the-road pricing for the Jazz will start at 13,495 for the entry-level S model, rising to 17,425 for the flagship EX Navi CVT model. The mid-grade SE model will be available from 14,595, whilst the EX will cost from 15,715.

The all-new Jazz boasts an updated exterior and interior, whilst retaining its classic silhouette. Contemporary styling and strong character lines feature in the bodywork, and efficient design in the cabin makes for increased boot and passenger space.

Specifications are generous across the range, with base-grade S models fitted as standard with air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter and dusk sensing auto lights. Every grade comes with Honda's City-Brake Active to help avoid low-speed accidents.

The mid-grade SE model, which starts at only 1,100 more than the base model features extras such as front and rear parking sensors, 15 inch alloy wheels and heated, electrically adjustable wing mirrors. Advanced safety aids come in the form of Honda's Driver Assistance Pack.

The EX model comes with the added benefits of smart entry and start, automatic climate control, six-speaker audio upgrade, 16-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps.

Two specifications of the 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine are available to buyers: a six-speed manual gearbox or a newly-developed CVT. Performance and fuel efficiency are combined in this highly responsive engine which delivers 102 PS at 6,000rpm, whilst producing as low as 106g/km of CO2.

Leon Brannan, head of cars at Honda UK commented: "The all-new Jazz signals the fourth of five new and refreshed models for Honda in Europe in 2015, an exciting year in which we're boldly re-energising the brand. The Jazz is a world car that has now sold over 5 million units since it was introduced in 2001. The greatest strength of Jazz is its broad appeal to different customer segments, and we're confident this latest generation will only broaden that appeal."
