Job description

We are now looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join us and work with our ancillary businesses within Vertu Motors. This is a great opportunity to kick start your career within finance with an employer who is able to offer you development and career opportunities.

The role involves working as part of a team which provides full Purchase Ledger support. Attention to detail, accuracy, speed and great customer service are essential elements of the role. As well as data input, you will be expected to reconcile monthly supplier accounts and raise appropriate payments, work with the remote accounts teams and provide additional services where appropriate.

We are looking for you to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and adapt a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business. You must be professional, credible, highly motivated, articulate and self-confident. Experience within a similar role and experience using Kerridge (CDK) accounting software is essential. Full training will be provided.

You will need to have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and have strong attention to detail. You will need to be organised and be able to manage a busy workload. You will be highly proficient with all Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.

This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. We are offering a basic salary up to £21,000 depending on experience.
