Loyal Bristol Street Motors colleague retires after 49 years service

Bristol Street Motors Granby Parts department has said an emotional goodbye to one of its most valued and experienced colleagues.

Colin Richards, 65, from Cannock has retired after spending more than 49 years working in the motor industry. After training as a mechanic straight out of school, Colin has worked on a number of the company's sites across the Birmingham area as both a Parts Supervisor and Parts Advisor.

Colin will be missed by colleagues at the Granby Parts department, where the team held a party to celebrate his service to the motor trade.

Now looking forward to more lie-ins, Colin will also take time to go travelling around the country with his family in his caravan..

Colin, said: "I am very sad to be saying goodbye to my colleagues here at Bristol Street Motors Granby Parts. I have made so many good friends over the years and I will really miss working with them. It has been a pleasure to be part of such a great team."

Kevin Taylor, General Manager, said: "Everybody here at Granby Parts is very sad to say goodbye to Colin. His knowledge and experience of the industry is invaluable and he is a very popular person in the department.

"We wish him a very long and happy retirement."
