Vertu Brings First Geely Auto Dealership To Glasgow
Award-winning automotive retailer Vertu has celebrated the official opening of its first Geely Auto dealership, marking the start of an exciting new relationship with one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the world.
Located on Kennishead Road in the Darnley area of the city, the Vertu Geely Glasgow South dealership is now open for business and welcoming customers through the doors, with redevelopment of the site ongoing as part of Geely Auto’s much-anticipated arrival in the Scottish city.
Geely Auto has already made a big impression since launching in the UK in late 2025, initially with the all-electric Geely EX5: a five-seat family SUV that offers up to 267 miles of range and starts at just under £32,000.
The opening of Vertu Geely Glasgow South follows closely after the arrival of the Starray EM-i Super Hybrid PHEV, as the second model offered to UK customers.
The Starray EM-i is available with a choice of two battery options, alongside a 1.5 litre petrol engine that offers up to 84 miles of electric range, and fast-charging capabilities. Prices start from under £30,000.
Both these new Geely Auto models have been refined for the UK market following an extensive testing programme that includes input from chassis engineers at Lotus - also part of Geely Holding Group.
Nine new jobs have already been created with the opening of Vertu Geely Glasgow South; a number of further vacancies are to be filled in the coming months.
