Yeovil Warranty Administrator Backs Hospitals With Fiery Fundraising Challenge
Jo Woolmington, Warranty Administrator at Vertu Yeovil Land Rover, has successfully completed a firewalk to raise vital funds for Yeovil Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital.
Her courageous effort forms part of a wider community fundraising initiative, which has so far generated more than £6,000 for the two hospitals.
Motivated by her own personal experiences and a desire to give something back, Jo joined a group of 23 participants who took on the fiery challenge. To date, she has individually raised £370, with additional donations still coming in.
The funds raised will contribute towards essential equipment, enhanced patient environments, and ongoing support for hospital staff.
Jo said: “Yeovil and Musgrove Park Hospitals provide amazing care and support to patients and families across our community, and I wanted to do something bold, and a little bit brave, to give something back.
“Having family and close friends who have been in both hospitals at the end of their lives, I personally know what a fantastic job they all do.
“Every penny raised will help fund vital equipment, improve patient facilities, and support the dedicated staff who go above and beyond every single day.”
