A technician from Yorkshire has been named as Colleague of the Year across Kia & Toyota Divisions in the Masters Awards held by the UK’s fourth-largest automotive group, Vertu.

Abbie Rose-Dauris, Service Technician at Vertu Toyota Barnsley, received the accolade as part of the annual programme that celebrates the achievements of high-performing colleagues working in non-management position.

The Vertu Masters Awards, which have now been running for 15 years, recognise excellence across the business in a wide variety of roles, with nearly 8,000 colleagues being eligible.

Abbie has built a strong reputation within the dealership for her exceptional work ethic, technical ability and relentless drive to get the job done.

Playing a key role in preparing used vehicles and supporting fleet work, she consistently takes on complex tasks with enthusiasm and determination, helping to keep operations running smoothly.

Her positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond have made her a highly valued member of the team, respected by colleagues and known for her energy and commitment.

Abbie Rose-Dauris said: “I am really proud to receive this award. I love what I do and enjoy getting stuck into all aspects of the job, especially the more challenging tasks.

“We have a great team here in Barnsley and we all support each other, which makes a big difference. It is fantastic to be recognised, and I am excited to keep developing in my role.”
