Birmingham Colleague Named Vertu Parts Manager Of The Year

Ben Steventon, Parts Manager at Vertu Ford Birmingham, has been named Parts Manager of the Year by the UK’s fourth largest automotive retailer Vertu.

Ben has been recognised for his outstanding financial performance and commitment to team development.

Over the past two years, he has delivered year-on-year growth, increasing retained profit by 35% demonstrating strong financial stewardship and operational effectiveness.

Ben’s leadership extends beyond his own department. While overseeing the Cluster Parts Hub, which services five sites, he has built a resilient and sustainable team that not only meets core operational demands but also provides support across other areas of the business.

He has actively contributed to other cluster managers, notably assisting Bromley and Orpington’s parts operations both onsite and remotely. Additionally, Ben has leveraged his versatile skill set to support Kings Norton in a Workshop Controller capacity when required.

His commitment to talent development is equally impressive. Ben mentored a young apprentice who completed their apprenticeship in November 2025 and transitioned into a fully operational Parts Advisor role. This reflects Ben’s ability to nurture and grow capability within his team.

His professionalism and expertise have also been recognised externally, representing the Group at Manufacturer Parts Meetings where he has effectively communicated key insights and feedback to peers.

Ben Steventon said: "I’m honoured to receive this award. For me, success is about building a team that can adapt and thrive. Seeing our apprentice progress to a fully qualified Parts Advisor has been one of the highlights of my career.

“At the same time, delivering strong financial results and supporting other managers shows what’s possible when you have a committed team and a shared vision."

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: "Ben’s ability to combine commercial success with talent development makes him an outstanding leader. His contribution to multiple managers and his external representation of the Group underline his value to the business.

“He’s a true example of operational excellence and people-focused leadership."
