Orpington Motor Professional Up For Two Women In The Motor Industry Awards
Francesca Edmondson, Commercial Sales Manager at Vertu Orpington Ford Transit Centre, has been named as a finalist in two prestigious industry awards aimed at recognising exceptional women in the automotive sector.
The 27 year-old has reached the final stage of both the Inspirational Leader of the Year and Commercial Vehicle Champion categories at the prestigious Motor Trader’s 2025 Women in the Motor Industry Awards.
Her nomination recognises a rapid rise through the ranks - from Sales Executive to her current leadership role - and her ability to consistently deliver strong commercial results while leading with integrity and care.
Francesca will now hope to emulate the success of Mollie Deacon, General Manager at Vertu Burton Citroen, who was named as winner of the Autocar Great Women Awards earlier this year.
Sam Perfect, CMA General Manager for Vertu Ford Orpington, Bromley & Orpington Prep Centre, said: “Francesca brings a level of energy and commitment that lifts the whole team. She’s got a sharp commercial instinct, but it’s her ability to connect with people - customers and colleagues alike - that really sets her apart.
“What makes Francesca even more remarkable is her ability to juggle the demanding responsibilities of her role while being a devoted mum to her beautiful little girl.
“She handles both roles with grace, energy, and an unrelenting positive attitude, showing that with dedication and heart, anything is possible. Her compassion, leadership, and spirit make her a valuable member of the business and one we are proud to have working alongside us.”
Francesca Edmondson, Commercial Sales Manager at Vertu Orpington Ford Transit Centre, said: “It’s a great honour to have been nominated by my colleagues and to reach the final stage of not just one, but two awards. These are both very tough categories and I’m very proud to be up against some exceptional talent.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “Francesca’s recognition is part of a wider pattern of success for our colleagues at these awards. It’s encouraging to see talented individuals like her being acknowledged nationally. These nominations reflect the calibre of people we have across the business.”
Vertu Motors continues to invest in the development of women across its network, with initiatives including leadership mentoring, flexible working policies, and targeted career development programmes.
The group is committed to improving representation at all levels and creating an environment where women can thrive in traditionally male-dominated roles.
