Vertu Appoints Dan Evans As New JLR Franchise Director

Dan Evans has been appointed as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Franchise Director by Vertu, the fourth largest automotive retailer in the UK.

Dan moves into the position after JLR Operations Director Leon Caruso took up one of two Managing Director roles at the start of the year, with Dan now taking over responsibility for Vertu’s network of JLR sites.

In total, the award-winning retailer operates ten Land Rover dealerships spread from Nelson in Lancashire down to Truro, alongside eight Jaguar sites.

Dan brings more than two decades of experience to the role, having worked his way up the automotive ladder having started his career as a Sales Manager with Audi.

Whilst the new position sees Dan working with Jaguar Land Rover for the first time, he has previously run franchises representing the likes of Mercedes, BMW, MINI, Toyota and Honda.

Indeed Dan’s previous role was as Vertu’s Honda Franchise Director, where he was responsible for the 17 sites that combine to make Vertu the largest Honda dealer in Europe.

Dan Evans, Vertu JLR Franchise Director, said: “I’m proud to be given the opportunity to take up the role of JLR Franchise Director, and to work alongside two hugely important brands.

“These are exciting times for JLR, and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”

Robert Forrester, Vertu Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to announce Dan as JLR Franchise Director as part of our revised management structure following Leon’s appointment as one of our two Managing Directors.

“Dan has done a fantastic job since joining the group to oversee our Honda franchise, and brings a wealth of experience to the role from his long and successful career.

“I have no doubt that the JLR franchise is in safe hands under Dan’s stewardship."
