Vertu Brings BYD To Macclesfield
Vertu is expanding its BYD footprint with the introduction of a new dealership in Macclesfield, replacing Ford car sales at the existing site on Winterton Way.
The move marks a significant step in Vertu’s evolving relationship with BYD, one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the UK.
The Macclesfield location becomes Vertu’s fifth BYD dealership and brings the brand’s innovative range of electric and hybrid vehicles to a new audience in the town.
The launch has created several new roles within the dealership, alongside a tailored training programme to ensure Ford service colleagues are fully equipped to support BYD customers.
While Ford vehicle sales have ceased at the site, Vertu remains an Authorised Ford Aftersales Repairer, ensuring continued support for existing Ford customers through servicing, MOTs and repairs.
As part of the transition, the dealership will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment to accommodate BYD’s expanding line-up, including the plug-in hybrid Seal U DM-i - currently the UK’s top-selling model in its category - and full electric vehicles such as the Dolphin Surf and Atto 3.
The site will also feature EV-ready service bays, rapid charging infrastructure, and a digitally enhanced showroom experience.
