Vertu Grabs Gold At The Devon County Show

Award-winning automotive retailer Vertu made its mark at the annual Devon County Show after its new-look stand was named as winner of the Gold award in the Motor Dealers Class.

The annual event, held at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter, marked the first appearance of the summer for Vertu’s all-new experiential race trailer, which has been created to showcase the extensive portfolio of manufacturers represented by the retailer across the UK.

In Devon alone, Vertu operates dealerships representing BMW, Dacia, Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Land Rover, MINI, Peugeot, Renault and Volvo alongside a BMW Motorrad site for motorcycle enthusiasts and van centres in both Exeter and Plymouth.

The eye-catching design of the trailer – which resembles a display of Matchbox-style cars – provided the backdrop for the stand across the event, which was buzzing with visitors from start-to-finish.

As well as being able to check out a range of new models on both two and four wheels, visitors were able to enter the latest Vertu Car Giveaway for the chance to win a Ford Puma Gen-E, meet star players from the Exeter Chiefs and also get involved in a special ‘Mullet of the Year’ competition where Vertu was assisted by local influencers Caitlin and Leanne Biscombe.

Fresh from being handed the Gold award for a second time, Vertu’s busy summer schedule will see the new experiential race trailer and event space move on to Royal Cornwall and Royal Three Counties shows next month, before visits to the Great Yorkshire Show, Gloworm Festival and CarFest later in the year.

Melanie Ofield, Head of Experiential Marketing at Vertu, said: “The response to our new experiential event space was everything we could have hoped for and proved to be hugely popular with visitors across throughout the show.

“Winning the Gold award was the icing on the cake, and a great way to kick off the events season.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu said: “It’s fantastic to see our new-look Vertu stand recognised at its first major event, and is credit to the whole team who brought it to life.

“It recognises the creativity and teamwork that goes into making sure that we deliver a first class experience at events like these, and we look forward to welcoming plenty more people to our stand across the remainder of the summer."
