Vertu Realigns St Mirren Support Ahead Of 2025/26 Season

Vertu Motors plc has realigned its support for Scottish Premiership side St Mirren FC to sit under their Vertu retail brand, following the recent consolidation of their Macklin Motors brand into Vertu earlier this year.

The Vertu group, which has seven dealerships local to the Club, joined forces with the Paisley-based football team in a three-year partnership back in 2023, providing St Mirren with three new Toyota cars in exchange for prominent Macklin Motors branding around the Club.

The Official Partnership includes a presence on the rear of match shirts worn by the St Mirren Men’s first team, as well as advertising boards around the SMiSA Stadium, where the team has played its home games since 2009.

Following the motor retailer's decision to consolidate its brands - Macklin Motors and Bristol Street Motors - into Vertu earlier this year, the national brand will continue their support of St Mirren for the upcoming season, with action in the Scottish Premiership kicking off at the end of August following the completion of the Group Stage of the League Cup.

Part of a nationwide network of over 195 dealerships, Vertu has a strong presence across the Central Belt of Scotland, representing world-leading manufacturers such as Ford, Nissan, Toyota and Peugeot all within a five-mile radius of SMiSA Stadium.

Nick Jones, Vertu Toyota Fleet Sales Manager, said: “Our partnership with St Mirren has allowed us to showcase some of our top Toyota hybrid models in recent years, and is a fantastic way for us to promote the Vertu brand at a hugely exciting time for us.

“Having finished in the top six in both seasons since we first became an Official Partner of the Club, we are looking forward to further success together - both on and off the pitch -during the upcoming campaign.”

Chris Taylor, Group Operations Director at Vertu added: “It’s a privilege to be involved with St Mirren FC and we look forward to a great season ahead. The Club is an important part of the community that we at Vertu are proud to share and support.”

Campbell Kennedy, St Mirren Commercial Manager, said: “We are very pleased to be continuing our partnership with Vertu. It has been a fantastic relationship thus far and we’re thankful to Nick Jones and his team for their ongoing support of the Club."
