The McMullen Road dealership has received a Q3 Dealer Award from the Motability Scheme, which people living with disabilities to exchange certain benefits for a new vehicle, as part of its Dealer Awards programme to reward best practice in the industry.

The Dealer Awards are judged on how a dealership delivers the Scheme to its customers, which is assessed using customer feedback and performance reviews.

The dealership will now be entered into the annual national awards, which will be announced in early 2017.

Tia Saddique-Mahmood, General Manager at Bristol Street Motors SKODA Darlington, said: “It’s an honour to receive this award from Motability, especially as they have such high-standards. We work hard to ensure that every customer who comes through our doors is fully-aware of their options and receives the very best advice, and we look forward to continuing to deliver this award-winning approach in 2017.”

Peter Wilson, General Manager Dealer Relations at Motability Operations, said: “The focus of these awards is to thank our dealer partners for providing a consistently positive customer service experience, after all, they are often the first point of contact for our customers. It’s important for us to recognise our dealer partners who go above and beyond when representing the Motability Scheme and highlight those who are setting a great example of how to do it well, like Bristol Street Motors Skoda Darlington. Many congratulations to them on their award.”

The Motability scheme enables disabled people to exchange their Higher Rate Motability Component of Disability Living Allowance, their Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), their War Pensioners Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or their Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) for a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair.
