Vertu Backs Tees Valley Community Enterprise
Vertu, the UK’s fourth largest motor retailer, is helping Darlington-based Community Interest Company, Hustle Hive, to support the next generation of Tees Valley entrepreneurs.
Hustle Hive will be delivering its 12-week Makers to Market workshop from Vertu’s state-of-the-art training facility in Darlington.
The programme is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs across the Tees Valley, develop practical skills to turn ideas into viable products and businesses.
Delivered by Hustle Hive’s two co-founders, Gavin Copland and Kieron Davis, who are both teachers, the course will guide participants through the full journey from concept development and market research to branding, pricing and launch.
By opening up its professional training space, Vertu will provide a dedicated environment for workshops, collaboration and mentoring sessions, giving participants access to high-quality facilities as they build their ventures.
Hustle Hive was founded to remove barriers to opportunity through hands-on, practical learning for those not in formal education or who left school without qualifications
Kieron Davis, co-founder of Hustle Hive, said: “Having access to a professional training environment makes a real difference to the people we support. We want participants to feel that their ideas are valued and that they belong in business spaces.
“The Makers to Market programme is about giving people practical tools, confidence and a clear pathway to test and launch their ideas. We are grateful to Vertu Motors for backing that vision and helping us create the right setting for it to happen.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, the UK’s fourth largest motor retailer, said: “As a business rooted in the communities we serve, we believe in supporting initiatives that create opportunity and drive ambition.
“Hustle Hive is doing important work to equip people with practical skills and entrepreneurial confidence. We are pleased to be able to provide our training facilities to support the Makers to Market programme and look forward to seeing the impact it has.”
The 12-week Makers to Market programme will begin on 11 May, with limited spaces available (10).
