Vertu Expands Geely Network With New Teesside Dealership
Award-winning automotive retailer Vertu has opened its fourth Geely Auto dealership as the fast-growing manufacturer continues to gain a strong foothold in the UK market.
Vertu Geely Teesside becomes the newest Geely site in the North East and will operate from Vertu’s existing site off Concorde Way in Stockton-on-Tees.
It joins two dealerships in Glasgow and one in Kings Norton opened by Vertu earlier this year.
The new Geely showroom will sit alongside Vertu’s BMW and MINI dealership following an extensive six-figure redevelopment programme undertaken in recent months.
That work has transformed the site into a modern multi-franchise operation offering a full range of new and used vehicles representing all three brands, alongside comprehensive aftersales support.
Since entering the UK market in late 2025, Geely has made an immediate impression with a two-model SUV line-up comprising the all-electric Geely EX5 and the Super Hybrid Starray EM-i.
Surpassing 1,000 monthly registrations within five months of the first car going on sale, Geely outsold established brands such as SEAT and Honda across June, July and August having expanded its market share with the arrival of the EX2.
The EX2 – the best-selling vehicle in China last year – is an all-electric compact city car offering up to 214 miles of range, with prices starting from under £21,000 on the road.
