Vertu Opens The Door To First Kia PBV Site In Bradford
Vertu has boosted its Kia network with the addition of a site in Bradford dedicated to the manufacturers new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) line-up.
Vertu Kia PBV Bradford will be located next to the existing Vertu Kia Bradford dealership on Canal Road, meaning that the full range of Kia car and commercial vans will be available on a single site.
A six-figure investment has been made into the site – which formerly housed the Vertu Honda Bradford dealership – in preparation for the arrival of Kia’s PBV range, with much of the work focused on enhancing the current workshop facilities to accommodate larger commercial vehicles.
The MOT Lane within the workshop will also be upgraded to allow for Class 7 MOTs to be carried out on the site.
All colleagues who previously worked within the Honda dealership has been retained in new roles to work as part of the Kia PBV Bradford team.
Kia’s PBV range is based around a special modular all-electric platform, which allows for interchangeable bodies to be added to meet a variety of different needs.

The first model, the PV5, is offered as a traditional cargo van, as a crew van, as a passenger vehicle or a chassis cab that can be designed for any fleet or custom build.
The Kia PV5 is only available from dedicated PBV Centres, with the Bradford dealership being the first to open as part of Vertu’s expansive nationwide network of more than 180 sales outlets.
That includes additional Vertu Kia dealerships in Barnsley, Nottingham and Edinburgh.
Chris Curley, General Manager of Vertu Kia Bradford, said: “The addition of a PBV centre to the Bradford site is an exciting moment, particularly given the anticipation there has been for the arrival of the first models built on Kia’s new platform.
“We expect this already award-winning model to become a major player in the commercial sector.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Kia, and to confirm the opening of our first PBV site in Bradford.
“The PBV platform is an exciting addition to Kia’s already impressive EV line-up, and we are confident that the PV5 will be a popular model with our customers both in Bradford, and across the wider Yorkshire region.”
