Vertu Provides New Toyota Hilux To Support Cannon Hall Farm
Vertu has strengthened its backing for Cannon Hall Farm by supplying a new Toyota Hilux pick-up, giving the award-winning attraction the dependable transport it needs to carry out its animal care, maintenance and on-site filming work across the 126-acre site.
The popular South Yorkshire farm, which welcomes more than 350,000 visitors a year, juggles a busy programme of animal husbandry with the demands of producing Channel 5’s well-loved show Springtime on the Farm.
Beyond its role as a tourist destination, the farm plays a vital part in educating school groups, preserving rare breeds, and keeping traditional rural skills alive - all of which depend on the team being able to move quickly and safely around the site.
With livestock spread across fields, barns and paddocks, and filming equipment often needing to be moved at short notice, the team relies on a robust vehicle capable of handling rough terrain in all weather.
Rob Nicholson, farm director, said: “The pace here never really slows down. One minute you’re checking on lambs, the next you're hauling feed or moving kit for the film crew. We’re also supporting school visits, running breeding programmes and keeping on top of everything the public doesn’t see.
“We need a vehicle that stands up to all of that. The Hilux has always been a real workhorse for us, and this support from Vertu genuinely keeps the wheels turning - sometimes quite literally.”
