Vertu Strengthens Commitment To Community Sport With Henley Hawks Agreement
Vertu Mercedes-Benz Reading have entered a new partnership with Henley Hawks Rugby Club, strengthening support for grassroots sport in the Thames Valley as the club continues to develop talent across all age groups.
The agreement begins immediately and marks a closer relationship between the retailer and one of the region’s most established community rugby clubs.
The partnership will see Vertu branding introduced across the club’s senior and junior playing kits from next season, including the back of the Henley Hawks shirts and the Minis & Juniors age groups.
The badge will also feature on coaching kit and warm-up shirts, reflecting the retailer’s commitment to backing the environment that nurtures players long before they reach first-team rugby.
Nigel Dudding, Henley Hawks President, said: “This support comes at a meaningful time for the club. Grassroots rugby only thrives when local businesses choose to stand alongside it.
“The work we do with hundreds of youngsters each season depends on strong community partnerships, and it’s clear Vertu recognises the value of investing in people at every stage of the game.
“Its involvement helps us continue offering an environment where players can grow, compete and enjoy their rugby.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive at Vertu, said: “Clubs like Henley Hawks are woven into the fabric of their local communities. They teach commitment, teamwork and resilience - qualities that matter far beyond sport.
“Supporting the Hawks is a positive step for our Mercedes-Benz team in Reading, and we’re pleased to play a small part in helping the club continue its excellent work at grassroots level.”
