Bristol Street Motors Ford dealership in Durham reopens following major investment

Bristol Street Motors has celebrated the opening of its newly refurbished Ford dealership in Durham, following a £2.4 million investment.

The £2.4 million invested into Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham has seen the site completely refurbished. The dealership now has a brand new showroom and parts department, alongside a fully refurbished workshop; equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Bristol Street Motors added the dealership to its portfolio with the acquisition in July 2012. The Durham dealership now employs more than 40 colleagues and continued to trade throughout the renovations whilst maintaining the best of scores for Ford's recognised customer satisfaction programme.

The site in the Carville area of the city held an open night to celebrate the launch. Ford Managing Director Andy Barrett attended the event, as special guest of Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors, Bristol Street Motors' parent company.

Martin Boagey, General Manager at Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham, said: "Everyone at the dealership is delighted with the refurbishments. The new showroom and parts department mean we will be able to further enhance the excellent service we offer to our customers while the best equipment money can buy has been installed into the workshop.

"The £2.4 million investment in the dealership reinforces Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham as the number one destination in Durham for new and used Ford vehicles."

Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors, said: "The investment underlines our commitment to being a major economic presence in Carville and County Durham.
This substantial investment secures the long-term future of the site and improves the working and sales environment.

"The launch night for Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham has been a great success and there was a lot of positive feedback on the refurbishment ."
